Espresso Anyone?

I have mentioned on this blog, once or twice, that I love coffee. This wasn't always the case. I used to hate coffee when I was younger. As I became a college student, coffee became a necessity. Then later in life, it became something pleasant. I like all kinds of coffee; hand dripped, espresso, lattes, etc. Whenever I am craving an espresso, I try to track down a certain coffee van to get some of the best espresso I have ever tasted. When I want an espresso, I go to Coffee Bar Stove.

Coffee Bar Stove

I first saw this traveling coffee van at the Village Market Tsukuba. I loved the design of the van and was really interested to try it. It had a very European style coffee place to it which was nice. The day I first saw this coffee van, I had just had a coffee from Micro Farm but a single shot of espresso couldn't hurt. I went up to this cool looking coffee van and checked out the menu.

The Menu

Good news everyone! The menu is in both English and Japanese! You should not have any problem ordering your espresso or café latte. I should also mention that sometimes Stove does have some small sweets to go with your coffee, like chocolate cookies. These cookies are from another coffee place called All Right Coffee, which I will talk about at a later date. I talked to the barista and ordered a single shot of espresso.

Lovely Place To Sit

One of the things I love about Stove is it's Italian coffee café design. Once you order your coffee, you can go to the back of the van which has two bar stools, and a small bar area to sit down, and enjoy your coffee. I always sit there whenever I order my espresso and if the owner is not too busy, I have a small chat with him while he has some nice café music playing. He is a charming barista who is always telling me about upcoming events, different coffee beans, and who told me about a furniture store called Himitsukichi near Tsukuba Ham. Stove sets up there sometimes to give the furniture store's customers some great coffee. He is usually joined by another food car as well. I went to that location a few months ago and that was the first time I tried Stove's café latte.

Café Latte

The first time I tried Stove's café latte was at the Himitsukichi location. Mobile Kitchen Kob was there that day with Stove, so I got myself a Cuban sandwich and sat on one of the stools in the back of the Stove van. I sipped on my café latte and took a bite out of my Cuban sandwich. The delicious Cuban sandwich with that amazing café latte and the great scenery around Himitsukichi made my day. I could have easily spent all day there, sipping that great café latte while enjoying everything around me. I highly recommend enjoying a cup of coffee or espresso from Stove at the Kimitsukichi location. It is so relaxing and quite a nice area.

Espresso

Sorry, I got a little side tracked, back to the espresso. As I said earlier, I usually get a single shot of espresso when I visit Stove. The first time I got a single espresso, I took a sip and immediately loved it. It was strong and smooth. just the way I like it. I vowed to keep enjoying espresso from Stove whenever I could after that delicious espresso experience. Another thing I love about this coffee van is, the second time you visit, you may get a different taste from your espresso. The coffee beans change from time to time which effects the flavor of the espresso. I think I have tried two different coffee beans from Stove. Both of those beans did not disappoint. The different beans brought an aura of mystery and excitement every time I tried it.

Coffee Bar Stove is a unique and great coffee van. I have always felt like grabbing an espresso and sitting at the coffee counter area whenever I see that van. It is truly a different kind of coffee relaxation experience. One that is extremely rare in Ibaraki and one everyone should enjoy.

So if you are in the mood for an amazing cup of coffee or espresso, why not check out Coffee Bar Stove. Either at Village Market Tsukuba, Himitsukichi, or any event near you. Who knows, you might see me there, sipping on my espresso while having a nice chat with the owner at the coffee bar area.

Enjoy!
